Bryan Electric Modifies Equipment at the NJTP Traffic Management Center

While many of our customers consider Bryan Electric simply a commercial electrical contractor—we are much more than that.

Early in December, 2014, a Request for Proposals came across my desk from the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway.  The “intent of the contract” was the following: “modifications to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s Statewide Traffic Management Center, including the addition of and re-routing of electrical and data cables below the existing raised floor to add electrical redundancy, to replace the existing console furniture and add more console workstations. New consoles will be furnished and installed by others. The project will require modification to raised floor tiles as well as modifications to existing tables to include new recessed power and data boxes, all in Woodbridge, New Jersey.”

This contract clearly demonstrated the ability of our company to handle multiple trade activities including Electrical, Intense Communications, Access Flooring, Carpet, Carpentry, Painting, & Mechanical.

In addition, most of the work had to be done during 3rd shift hours so as not to interrupt the work day.

There were 9 phases to this project.  Our client’s expectations were very high—we were expected to complete the work without a single interruption to their workday.  The Traffic Management Center is an essential service provider in the state and its work is very sensitive.

It’s fair to say we met all the expectations; accomplished all the work and goals; and with no interruptions in service.
