1,000 Stations. 1 Garden State. NJ’s year for electrification!

January 9th, 2026 | Uncategorized

2025 was a landmark year for electric mobility in New Jersey. As the state surpassed 250,000 registered EVs, the focus shifted from “coverage” to “capacity.” Bryan Electric played a key part in this charge, ensuring that New Jersey drivers had access to reliable, high-throughput infrastructure. Let’s take a look at the impact this past year had.

1. Infrastructure Footprint

In 2025, Bryan Electric significantly expanded its physical presence to meet the growing demand of New Jersey’s 15% year-over-year registration surge.

  • Network Role: Bryan Electric now is responsible for implementation of approximately 5% of New Jersey’s total public charging port inventory, playing a vital role in the state’s path toward its 330,000 EV target.

For Bryan Electric, 2025 was defined by a major achievement: the installation of our 1,000th charging station in New Jersey. Specifically, the 1,000th station was part of a bigger project bringing much needed public charging stations to Atlantic City. The project, with help from city leadership, included a new service with (4) DC Fast Chargers and (1) Level 2 publicly accessible while also helping the city’s new electric fleet. This milestone cements our position as a foundational piece of the state’s infrastructure.

2025 Network Performance

The following figures represent the collective performance of our entire active network across New Jersey during 2025—comprising both our existing stations from years past, and the 172 new stations (250 ports) successfully commissioned this year.

  • Total Energy Delivered: 5.558 GWh (5,558,000 kWh)
  • Total Charging Sessions: 249,096
  • Environmental Impact: 4,202,298 kg of Greenhouse Gas (GhG) savings.

These numbers prove that our infrastructure is not just present; it is heavily utilized. With nearly a quarter-million sessions, Bryan Electric’s impact provided the equivalent energy to power over 1,000 EVs for a full year of driving.

2. A Collaborative Success

This work is not done in a vacuum. Our progress in 2025 was made possible through the dedication of our internal team and a powerful ecosystem of partners:

  • NJDEP & NJBPU Grant Teams: Whose “It Pay$ to Plug In” and “Charge Up NJ” programs remain the gold standard for state-led electrification.
  • ChargEVC, Sustainable NJ, & NJ League of Conservation Voters: For their tireless advocacy and for helping municipalities navigate the transition to green energy.
  • Local Utilities & Municipalities: For their partnership in grid readiness and site development.

3. Looking Ahead: The Exciting Future of 2026

While 2025 was about building a foundation, 2026 is about scaling into new sectors. Several major initiatives are poised to accelerate New Jersey’s electrification even further:

  • The RGGI MHD Incentive: Funded by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, 2026 sees the launch of the Medium- and Heavy-Duty (MHD) EV Charging Program. This program offers up to $225,000 per DC Fast Charger for businesses in overburdened communities, shifting the focus toward electrifying the trucks and buses that move our economy.
  • NJEDA’s “Take Charge” Pilot: A new $50 million program designed specifically for private fleets to cover the costs of charging infrastructure, making it easier than ever for NJ businesses to transition their vans and delivery vehicles to electric.
  • Expanded EV Tourism: The EV Tourism Corridor Charging Program is reopening in 2026 with a renewed focus on hotels and travel-centric sites, ensuring that NJ remains a premier destination for EV-driving tourists from across the Northeast.
